NYC-DSA can be the connective tissue between the street movements and a bold, socialist electoral project if we —

1. Help Zohran be Zohran — Build a strong movement that opens up the political space for Zohran to stay anchored in his proud, socialist positions rooted in the democratic decisions of DSA in spite of pressure from moderates and MAGA forces.

2. For Collective Liberation, from New York to Gaza — Prioritize mass political organizing that forges deep community building, tying together working people’s struggles, from the Immigrant Justice Working Group’s fight to abolish ICE to the Break the Chain campaign for an Arms Embargo.

3. Let Members Lead — Develop a strong, efficient democracy that promotes member-led chapter organizing by establishing more transparency and new avenues for their input into chapter governance.

4. Organize a Chapter That Reflects New York City — Work with communities in East Queens, the Bronx, and Staten Island to grow new branches, and invest robustly in AfroSoc and Socialism is the People to cultivate a DSA representative of our multiracial city.
